The benefits of having a routined day

It is not often thought about, but the benefits of having routined and scheduled days can easily make the difference of a good day and a bad one.

Although routines may seem boring, they bring structure and can put your mind at ease.

When thinking of routine, we don’t mean necessarily sitting in an office everyday; having a routine can mean once a week you watch a new movie or once a month you try a restaurant. It doesn’t matter what you incorporate into this routine, as long as you pick and stick!

Your habits create your mood and your mood is what allows you to explore the world in different ways. As children, routine gave us a feeling of safety while as adults it can give us a feeling of purpose. A lack of routine can result in procrastination and a following feeling of us assuming we have thrown the day away.
